The Zauna (Camp Bathhouse)

The women's camp had two washrooms, which held around 40 prisoners. However they were closed to most prisoners and used mostly by officials. When the washrooms were opened they caused brutal battles for access to water.

The Zauna or bathhouses allowed the prisoners their one minute long bath, and only in delousing operations (getting rid of lice) did prisoners from all disinfected sections of the camp walk through it. Toilets were equally inaccessible and unsuitable for coping with the number of prisoners that the camps held.
